    Let's share recipes and gathering, shopping, preparation, and cooking tips. My favorite breakfast today includes two ingredients I didn't even know how to spell two years ago (quinoa and chia seeds). I love to find out about new ways to prepare food and enjoy making (very) amateur cooking videos (channeling my inner Julia Child). So let's have fun with this and see what's cooking!

    My Favorite Breakfast

    This is how I start my day most mornings. It's loaded with protein, fiber, healthy fats (EVOO and Omega-3), and good carbs.

    1/2 cup Quinoa
    1/2 cup Brown rice
    1/2 cup mixed Pinto and Black beans
    1 Chopped Roma tomato
    1/2 tsp Chia seeds
    2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

    Served with hot green tea

    Note: I cook a week's worth of quinoa, brown rice, and pinto and black beans and store in the refrigerator so I can quickly assemble breakfast each day - the only prep time is chopping the Roma tomato.
